Seems like fans won’t be missing One Direction’s former member. Just few days after his announcement of leaving his British boy band, Zayn Malikhas debuted his first solo track.
The slow music, which showcases Malik’s hypnotic range accompanied by a simple acoustic guitar, is titled “I Won’t Mind.”
The song was released on Soundcloud and, later, YouTube on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Malik’s rep confirmed to ABC that it is Malik singing but did not disclose further details.
Malik chose to stay silent amid the issues. However, the song’s producer, Naughty Boy, who earlier worked with Sam Smith, has been very open, even got wound up in a Twitter feud with Malik’s former bandmate, Louis Tomlinson.
It began when Naughty Boy retweeted a video with the words, “Naughty Boy Saved My Life Zaughty.”
Tomlinson found it offensive and answered back.
“Wow @NaughtyBoyMusic you’re so inconsiderate pal,” he wrote. “Seriously how f****** old are you? Grow up! #masterofallwisdom.”
But Naughty Boy denied that he was sending a message about Malik.
